HVC 500 Years Anniversary Cigars

While HVC hasn’t been around for 500 years, the company is set to celebrate the city they called home for so many years.

The city of Havana was founded by the Spanish on November 16th,1519. To celebrate it’s 500th Anniversary, HVC (Havana City) Cigars has created a unique blend using the finest tobaccos from Aganorsa Leaf.

The HVC 500 Years Anniversary will sport a Corojo ’99 wrapper, binder from Jalapa with fillers consisting of Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99 from Esteli and Jalapa. According to HVC this blend will allow you to experience Havana through your senses.

After critical acclaim in 2019, HVC’s 500th Anniversary line is set to release two new vitolas. The  5 7/8 X 52 TESOROS  release saw high praise and sold out not long after it’s release. The cigar received great recognition, scoring a position in Halfwheel’s top 25 list as well as winning #1 limited cigar from Cigar Dojo. 

 Reinier Lorenzo, master blender and owner of HVC is happy to import the new sizes that have been aging in Nicaragua at famed Aganorsa Agricola Norteña S.A. Reinier is thrilled about the success of the line, because it honors his birthplace Cuba and it’s 500th Anniversary. “For me the cigar is about remembering where we come from.” 

 The new sizes will be a 4 1/2×52 SHORTS  and a 5 5/8×46 SELECTOS. The 4 1/2×52 will be available online exclusively while the 5 5/8×46 will be available at some of our favorite retail locations. Together both sizes total 12000 units.
