Terroir [French pronunciation: ter-war] – comes from the Latin work Terre, meaning “land or earth”.  Terroir can be very loosely translated as “a sense of place”, which is embodied in the sum of the special characteristics that the local environment inparts on the agricultural production in the area.

The French originally used this term to describe the unique growing areas of wine, as in the Medoc region of Bordeaux and the Chablis region of Burgundy, as it denotes the unique characteristics that the geography, geology and climate bestow upon particular varietals grown in those areas. As with fine wine grapes, the same occurs with premium cigar tobacco. Each tobacco growing region in the world has its own special Terroir.

These Limited Edition Terroir cigars were handmade by experienced Cuban rollers in the heart of Little Havana at the El Titan de Bronze Cigar Factory. They were blended by Master Blender – Willy Herrera and were made in the traditional Cuban method of hand tubing the filler “entubado”, binding in a double binder and wrapping them with a unique triple cap. To add complexity, they were then barrel aged in new, medium toast, French oak barrels for an additional 3 months. Fitting of this exquisite handmade cigar, a Limited Edition Pewter metal band was added. The results are a medium body cigar with a smooth creamy flavor, a nutty finish and subtle aromas of a fine wine cellar.
